Wanda Sue Meadows, age 58, of Madison, Indiana, and the daughter of the late Marian Franklin and Jean (Perry) Jones, was born on November 23, 1967, in Carrollton, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Carroll County High School. On June 20, 1992, she was united in marriage to James David "Dave" Meadows, and they enjoyed 34 wonderful years together. For eight years, she worked as the Ward Clerk at Hanover Nursing Center in Hanover, Indiana. Wanda enjoyed playing bingo, camping, fishing, playing Farm Town on her phone, and was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats. She also loved getting her nails done, watching her favorite soap operas, and making cherished memories on trips to Florida and South Carolina.

Throughout her life, Wanda was a passionate supporter of breast cancer awareness, a cause that remained close to her heart. Above all else, she treasured her family. Wanda was the steady foundation they leaned on, always willing to lend a helping hand, or simply be there whenever she was needed. Mrs. Meadows passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, with her loving family by her side

Her life will be cherished by her husband, Dave Meadows of Madison; her children: Kayla Meadows and her fiancé, Patrick of Madison, and Kyle Meadows of Madison; her step-son: Justin Meadows and his wife, Kim of Tennessee; her brother: Bill Jones of Carrollton; her sister: Francis Devine of Carrollton; her grandchildren: Ashley Foster, Richard Meadows, Madison Meadows, Luke Meadows, Cora Meadows, and Lillian Hunt; her great grandchildren: Joy Colwell, Madelyn Meadows and Hudson Meadows; and her mother-in-law: Loretta "Joyce" Backus of Madison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law: Pam Jones and Debbie Carrico; her brother-in-law: Billy Meadows; and her father-in-law: James R. Meadows.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at the Welty Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Lytle Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison, with interment to follow in Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton, Kentucky. Friends and family may visit at the Welty Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Lytle Chapel from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday.
