Obituary

Scott Daniel Taylor, age 56, of Milton, Kentucky, and the son of Terry Miles Taylor and Judy Martin, was born on July 27, 1969, in Carrollton, Kentucky. He was a 1987 graduate of Trimble County High School. On June 26, 1992, he was united in marriage to Jana Ruth (Maxwell) Taylor in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and they were blessed with two children: Leighton and Laken. Scott began his career with North American Stainless when the plant first opened, advancing into the role of a Z-Mill Group Leader. After years of dedicated service, he retired in 2014 due to increasing health concerns. He found great joy in the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and searching the woods for mushrooms. He was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Basketball team and also liked watching sitcoms. More than anything, he loved his family dearly and cherished every moment with them. Mr. Taylor passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at his residence in Milton, Kentucky.

His life will be cherished by his wife of almost 34 years, Jana of Milton; his children: Leighton Taylor and his wife, Paige of Bedford, Kentucky and Laken Taylor of Lexington, Kentucky; his granddaughter: Peyton Taylor; his mother: Judy Martin and her husband, Dr.Cecil "Doc" of Milton; his brother: Breck Taylor of Bedford; his sisters: Autumn Youngblood and her husband, Brian of Madison, Nicole Lacefield and her husband, Craig of Carrollton; and Lori Clifford and her husband, Troy of Milton; his aunt: Mary Ann Taylor of Milton; his mother-in-law: Ruthie Maxwell of Milton; one who was like a sister: Penny Pennybaker of Milton; and many nieces and nephews.
